red lipstick

when it comes to my lips, i only ever wear one colour (apart from a clear/tinted lip balm) and that is RED. i personally think red lips can look so classy yet so fashionable, sexy and edgy.
I have tried many different brands of red lipstick, including maybelline, MUA, no7, and many more, but none of them compare to my two favourites.
My two favourites are from MAC, and topshop.
MAC - Russian red
Topshop - Rockabilly
These reds are incredibly dark and visible, yet they are not too corally, or bright. They are a very deep, mysterious red and that's what i love!

The quality of the MAC lipstick is amazing - it does not fade away even after many hours. However, as it is a matte finish, it can be incredibly drying. In order to prevent this, I apply some carmex lip balm or baby lips before I apply the lipstick, and it normally does the job. Also, as the quality of the lipstick is so high, it sometimes stains my lips, even after I have washed. Overall, it is an amazing amazing amazing lipstick and I do not deny purchasing this AT ALL.

The lipstick from topshop is actually a lip bullet, meaning that it is much creamier. I love this as it gives a very pretty finish and is not too matte! Also, it is very moisturising an hydrating on my lips. However, as it is so smooth and creamy, it does not last as long as the MAC lipstick, but as it is small and compact, it is easier to take around with me as it is very compact.

Fron what I remember, the MAC lipstick was £15 whereas the Topshop lip bullet was an amazing £5! I highly recommend both of them, as they are beautiful colours.

When wearing my red lipstick, I tend to wear it with dark clothes. On a day to day basis, I normally wear all black and sometimes white (so boring, I know) therefore the red lipstick really makes my outfit stand out and adds a hint of colour to me!

Real techniques stippling brush review - beauty

In my spare time I love to watch Youtube videos on makeup, hair and beauty tips. After watching a numerous amount of "beauty gurus" it appeared that "Real techniques" make-up brushes are a definite must have. As a result, I treated myself to one!

There are a variety of different Real techniques make-up brushes as each brush has different purposes. I decided to purchase the "stippling brush" which I like to use for my foundation/concealed.

The brush is not too large which I think is great as it fits into a handbag nicely. Also, the colour of the brush is a very gorgeous metallic pink colour, which I think is very pretty and girly.

The bristles of the brush are very soft yet very stable and sturdy therefore I assume that the brush will be very long lasting due to the high quality.
When applying my makeup, it applies the foundation very evenly and it gives my face a very matte and flawless finish, and in comparison with previous make-up brushes, this one is excellent and it's astonishing how much of a difference a brush can make!
The brush is perfect for BB cream also as it spreads everything around the face evenly and is just fantastic!

Although the brush is great, the price is however not the cheapest. I purchased this product from boots (a UK drug store) at the price of £11.99. Even though this is not the cheapest of all brushes, it is most definitely worth the price and you are definitely paying for the quality of the brush! Worth the money 100%, in my opinion.

I highly recommend this brush to anyone who wants a very flawless, even finish to their foundation and to anyone who uses foundation/concealer/BB cream daily as it blends so well and it's just brilliant!

You're definitely missing out if you don't own this amazing "real techniques stippling brush".

Maybelline baby lips review - beauty

After waiting for months, Maybelline finally released baby lips in the UK, which I was incredibly excited about, due to the hype over in America.
At the reasonable price of £2,99 I purchased 3 different flavour baby lips. These included "cherry me", "peach kiss" and "hydrate".

In my opinion, the packaging of this product is very colourful and exotic, which definitely makes it more exciting.
As well as this, the size is very convenient and compact, which means it fits perfectly inside a handbag or purse for on the go.
All of the lip balms have a sweet, gentle scent which I believe is a complete bonus - "cherry me" is definitely my favourite smell as its very sweet yet fruity.

Adding onto this, excluding the "hydrate" baby lips, every other lip balm has a slight tint of colour when applied to the lips. "Cherry me" is a fairly vibrant pink, however is not too much, and looks adorable! Perfect for nights out! "Peach kiss" also has a slight tint to it, however it is much more subtle and can be worn on a day to day basis, as it gives the lips a shiny colour.
As this product is a lip balm, the main aim is to soften and moisturise lips, and so it does! Whilst wearing this product my lips feel so hydrated and soft.
However, the only down side to this product is the fact you have to re apply it after around 4 hours, based on my experience with this product. On the packaging of this product it states "formula moisturises lips for a full 8 hours" therefore I beg to differ, but excluding this, the product is amazing!
I definitely believe that every girl should own one of these baby lips!
